The Cropping Tool in your online album

 

TIP - Allow enough room around your picture so that the mount or picture frame is not too close to your ideal crop of the picture

 

Why is there an area of white background around the picture?

When we take the pictures at the Nursery Schools and Toddler Groups we leave an area of clear background around the child whenever possible.  This allows for different print sizes when you are either buying from the Print Price List or when you have downloaded the High resolution photographic file and taken this to your own printers.
 

 

Can I crop the picture myself if I purchase a print from my album of pictures?

Yes.  You select the picture you would like to buy, choose which print size from the drop down list, place order. This will take you through to your Shopping Basket, in the description next to your chosen print in bold it will say "Click to crop or convert this image". 

When you click on the link the picture will appear with red dash lines.  In the bottom right of the crop outline is a small white marker box, hold your mouse over this box and move the crop in until it is how you would like the print to look.  If the marker will not move in any more it has reached the smallest size that is suitable for the print you have chosen.

   

Click Preview image. The image will be shown to you is how it will be printed return to shopping basket if you are happy or clck Edit image again to move the crop.

 

Can I crop a Portrait picture into a Landscaps a landscape.

Yes.  Choose the picture you would like to change from portrait (Upright) to Landscape (Horizontal).  This will be loaded into your shopping basket.  Click "crop or convert this image".  It will show you the picture cropped as a portrait by default.  Choose the red dashed shape Max centered landscape.  Move the shape up or down until it is where you would like the picture cropped.  It can also move in for a tighter crop.  If the square stops moving this is as small as the picture can go with the size print you have chosen.

   

Click the "Preview Image" button at the bottom of the page. It will say "generating preview image,  please wait" Your Preview image will appear.  If this is how you would like the picture to be printed Click the "Return to Shopping Basket" Button.  If you would like to change the crop again Click the "Edit Image again" button.  Continue until you have your choice of picture. 

   

The same thing can be done on a Landscape (Horizontal) picture choosing the Portrait (Vertical) Crop.
         

 

Can I order a black and white print?  

 

Yes. To order a Black and White print you choose "Click to convert image" next to the print while in the shopping cart. This will show the picture as a large thumbnail image.  Beneath the picture are some  buttons. Select the option next to "Convert to black and white" will be highlighted.  Decide whether to use the Check box next to Save as new item in shopping cart. (Use this when purchasing the same image with different settings.)
